Bearded Bellbird - Procnias averano

Bearded Bellbird male, adult, breeding, song — These birds have a stout barrel-shaped upper chest & at certain angles the strong pectoral muscles & enlarged syringeal cartilage seem to show through. This enlarged vocal apparatus results in these birds having some of the loudest calls of any bird.
