Malachite Sunbird male adult breeding — Butinant sur un chêvrefeuille du cap (Cape honey suckle, Tecoma Capensis). Le front devrait être vert. Sa couleur jaune résulte du pollen qui s'y est collé lorsque l'oiseau enfonce profondément sa tête dans la corolle pour en aspirer le nectar.
