Shelley's Francolin adult
Locally common, this species lives in savannahs and open woodlands with rocky grounds. They feed on roots and bulbs by digging into the soil.
Localement commune, cette espèce vit dans les savanes et les zones boisées ouvertes avec des sols rocheux. Ces oiseaux se nourrissent de racines et de bulbes en creusant le sol. (autre nom scientifique – Scleroptila shelleyi)
